Who loves a girl’s night? I do! My gal pals are always looking for a reason to get together — and tonight we are making a DIY Sugar Scrub, eating tacos and sippin’ on tasty margs! (Well, I’m not. #preggoprobs)
Naturally, I have to share this amazing recipe on The Well Today. It’s too good not to! My favorite OKC esthetician and good friend, Ashley Hale, makes her own sugar scrub exfliator and she’s sharing her favorite recipe with us! This sugar scrub can be used as a face or full-body exfoliator. It’s a great and easy way to get your skin glowing for the summer!

Here is what you need:

Coconut Oil (organic, unrefined)
Sugar
Your choice of essential oils
4 oz mason jars
Directions:
Place 1 cup of coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl and heat for about 45 seconds.
Let cool off (you don’t want it too hot, or it will melt the sugar).
Measure 2 cups of sugar into a bowl and slowly add your melted coconut oil.
Mix until sugar and coconut oil are combined.  Note: you want your scrub to be more sugary than oily.
Add in 40-50 drops of your essential oil of choice (Ashley’s personal favorite is a mixture of stress relief, peppermint, and lavender. It’s the perfect combo for a good nights rest).
Spoon your scrub into your mason jar and you’re good to go!
P.S. These make the cutest little gifts! Add a wooden spoon as a scoop to give it a little more detail.
Enjoy!
