“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

Jesus is our eternal nourishment, our umbilical cord to God. He is the guarantee to everything that we will ever need – communion with him. Have you ever thought about why we would reject that? Behind door one is eternity with Him. Behind door two is the world, full of hopelessness, desperation, and despair. However, a lot of times, the world seems more fun in the moment. Our flesh is focused on instant gratification and the world promises that. But it’s not hard to see that our world is fallen and broken.

 
We have to lose our appetite for the things of the world to partake in the nourishment of Jesus. Thank God for his grace when the craving of the world surfaces.
