Worry 12.06.16
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
How are you today? Really. Don’t just skim over that first sentence. Take a minute (or two or ten) to really look inside yourself. Are you calm or stressed? Sad? Happy? Excited? Expectant?
Worry can easily seep into our daily lives, and it doesn’t take long for its roots to grow deep into our thoughts and relationships. When I think about my experience with worry, I realize that nothing good ever comes from it. I have never changed an outcome by worrying.
Not worrying is so much easier to say than it is to actually do. We must first take our thoughts captive and consciously choose to focus on today. It is my prayer that you find freedom from the grip of constant worry and are able to dwell in the present moment today.
