Last night, Monty Williams accepted the first every Sager Strong Award at the NBA awards ceremony. Coach Williams, a former OKC Thunder assistant coach,  lost his wife, Ingrid, in a car accident in February 2016. He gave one of the most inspiring and gracious speeches just days after her death at her funeral.

He said, “Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

All of this will work out. As hard as this is for me and my family and for you, this will work out. I know this because I’ve seen this in my life.”
