Watch Out 7.28.17

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

1 Peter 5:8

How is the enemy tempting you today? We should always be aware and looking for the ways he is trying to stray us from our walk with Christ. He doesn’t take a day off. Lately, he’s been distracting me with meaningless, to-do’s that keep me busy and too busy for God. Sounds crazy, right?

When I’m not spending time with my Father, I am disconnected from everything He is doing in my life. And then I get frustrated with myself because I feel like I keep messing up. What kind of Christian am I? I keep telling God I’ll spend more time with him — and I don’t.

Good news! God’s grace enough, He isn’t mad at me for not spending time with Him. He graciously welcomes me back, forgives me and continues to teach me how to be more like  Him. Same with you. God isn’t mad at you. (Psalm 145:8) The enemy is trying to convince you otherwise but don’t believe his lies. There’s nothing you can do to stop the love of God.

Watch out for the enemy, he is always trying to trick you. And remember, your Heavenly Father always has your back. He is your protector, provider and friend.
