“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.”

Psalm 5:11

The word “refuge” brings me so much comfort. It’s defined by Google as “a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.”

The Lord protects us from imminent danger but also the daily troubles of this world. We have hope in His protection and love. Thank you, Lord, for being our place of refuge and strength.
