Jesus, Remember Me 4.11.17
“Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Luke 23:42
This week we celebrate Jesus’ victory over death. From Palm Sunday to Passover to Good Friday, we celebrate and remember the greatest gift ever given – life eternal.
The words in this verse were spoken by one of the criminals crucified on a cross next to Jesus. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Our Savior, in the hardest and most excruciating moment of his life, forgave the sins of a man as he was dying. He had nothing left to offer on earth, yet he realized his need of a savior.
Thank you, Jesus, for your mercy and grace. Thank you for your sacrifice, and may we be ever willing to sacrifice our temporal pleasure for you.
