For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:12

Sometimes it feels like we are being attacked at all angles. It’s easy to blame the hard-to-work-with coworker or the cranky husband. Remember, we are not fighting against someone else or even ourselves, we are fighting against the evil that exist in the spiritual world we do not see. It is real and coming for you.

The enemy has an agenda; he plans to kill, steal and destroy. When those hateful thoughts bubble up, remember this verse. It is not someone who is causing you to think those ugly thoughts. It is the tricks of the enemy; don’t fall into his trap. He wants steal your friendships and destroy your marriage. When you daily put on the armour of God, you can fight off any fiery dart the enemy throws your way.

Stay armed, keep focused and lean into Jesus. He will always fight for you.
