“But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” John 3:21

The Bible instructs us to not “show off” (for lack of better words) our deeds of faith (Matthew 6:5). This verse, while at first may seem contradictory to that, tells up to live in the light not hidden in the shadows of darkness. Death is found in darkness, and the light is where life is.  Living in God’s truth, not solely focused on deeds, is living in the light.
