Keep the Unity 6.20.17

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4: 1-3

The Lord’s commands are simple and yet sometimes so hard to obey. Humility, gentleness, patience, and love are what most of us ideally strive for, but we often times fall so short. Those disciplines sound good but in a moment of frustration or disappointment, it is often much more natural to let things like pride and harshness define us.

Even when we do fall short, our command is simple – humility, gentleness, patience, love, and unity. When we are united in our faith nothing of the world can conquer us.
