A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices. For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. -O Holy Night
God commanded that his only son should be called Immanuel — God with us. And he is indeed with us even amongst the frenzy that has become the Christmas season. He wants to be knit into the very fabric of that frenzy: a part of all we do, places we go, and people we meet. For some, the God with US is the only glimpse of Him others will see. When you are able to keep that at the forefront of your thoughts, you will hopefully begin to change the way you interact with them. Show grace and patience to the frustrated shopper. Pay for the car behind you at a drive thru. Give a card to the hurting woman who is without a loved one this holiday. Adopt a family in need.
Throughout the chaos, rejoice in the simplicity of his birth. Make the spirit of Christmas about the spirit living inside you and seek out opportunities to share it with those you come in contact with. Celebrate Him in EVERYTHING you do.
