Psalm 34:18

Even when we don’t “feel” like He is near, we have to cling to God’s promises. Feelings are based on circumstances, God’s promises are based on Truth. His promises never change.

I chose this scripture for today’s inspiration because it’s a promise I’m clinging too as I work through the pain that comes with Mother’s Day and pregnancy in general without my mom.

If I’m not careful, bitterness will easily begin to fester and grow into a huge case of ugly. When I fix my eyes on the One who will never leave me or forsake me, the bitterness is broken down by the love only God can give.

My pain is not too great for God, I just have to trust He is there (no matter what my feelings are telling me) and hold tight to what I know. God loves me. He will never leave me. He is working everything out for my good.
