“As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.” Psalms 18:30

Depending on someone else can be terrifying — especially for those of us that enjoy control, like myself. In my experience, I have noticed that women tend to have a more difficult time with this and go through life with the perception that they have to do it all and be it all. The media (social & traditional) coupled with our drive for perfection leave us striving to be the career woman, perfect wife and mother, and always available friend with a rock-hard body and spotless home.

Just thinking about it is exhausting.

Thankfully, there is freedom in:

1. Realizing that you don’t have to be it all (it’s impossible, really)
2. Putting your hope in the Lord and untangling yourself from the world’s expectations.
3. Letting Him be your shield and finding refuge in His strength.

You are beautiful. You are enough. You have a purpose. Jesus loves you and so do we.
