“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10 NIV

What is one thing that we are all guaranteed in this life? I am going to risk sounding completely negative and say it – pain and suffering. If you are a Christ follower, Paul guarantees it (2 Timothy 3:12). Probably not what you wanted to hear today. Sorry, I do love you (and so does Jesus).

But think about all of the people that you know. Everyone does experience some sort of suffering at some point or another whether they are a Christian or not – losing a loved one, a health condition, physical pain, relational pain, harsh words and criticism. We all experience it but be encouraged. No matter what you are going through today or have gone through in the past or will go through in the future, THE God of all grace will restore you and make you strong. What freedom it is to know that our Father will make us strong, firm and steadfast? You have hope in Christ, darling.
