For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6

Lately, I find myself frustrated with God because Jermelle still isn’t on a team. After over a year of praying and having faith, Jermelle is still waiting for a call. He has such a strong desire in his heart to play football again, yet God has stayed quiet.

I’ve been so uneasy and disappointed with the way that things have played out with Jeremelle’s job. The doubt and worry have creeped into almost every aspect of my life. This is how the enemy works.

My focus has been on what we don’t have that but through times like these, I have to focus on God’s promises. When I read Hebrews 13:5-6, it was like my thirsty soul took a huge drink of water. God’s Word is living!

Here are some of God’s promises I am focusing on.

He will never fail you. Hebrews 13:5-6
He will never leave you. Deuteronomy 31:6
He loves you. Jeremiah 31:3
He pursues you. Psalm 139
He protects you. Psalm 121:7-8
He goes before you. Deuteronomy 31:8

Stop letting Satan lie to you. Your Father is with you, always working it out. Faith is not believing what we see but believing what we don’t see.
