Make The Most Of Today 2.28.17
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Ephesians 5:15-17
Each day is a gift, an opportunity from God to live for Him and to become more like Him. The best way for us to become more like Jesus, is to spend time with Him. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have enough time to read and study the Bible every day. Then the spirit sweetly reminds me that somehow I daily find time to check social media, make phone calls to my girlfriends and watch my favorite T.V. show (This is Us is rocking my world right now, just saying!) but somehow can’t find time for my Heavenly Father. What’s up with that?
Foolish people don’t take a second thought to their day, they just go with the flow. The wise make the most of every opportunity. If we want to live wisely, we have to intentionally walk with Christ. When we spend time in His Word, we get to know His heart. As we get to know his heart, we hear from Him more clearly. It’s a snowball effect. The more time you spend with Jesus, the closer you become.
Each day, I long to become more like Jesus and do what the Lord wants me to do. I pray today, you make the intentional decision to spend some quality time with your Savior. If you don’t know where to start, let us know. We would love to hear from you and help you get started.
Praying for you today.
