But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

I generally try to hide my weaknesses. If I am not good at something, I would rather no broadcast that to the world. This verse encourages me because it reminds me that even in my weaknesses, His grace is enough. His power shines even brighter through my shortcomings.

Pride often finds itself in the midst of of our strengths – strengths gifted from God. Through these strengths, it is often easier to rely on ourselves rather than God. Let us remember that everything including life itself if a gift from the Lord, and even better, His grace covers our brokenness.
