Grace & Truth 12.15.16
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
Most people, whether a Christ-follower or not, know the “reason for the season”. Our now over-commercialized Christmas holiday is to celebrate the birth of Jesus, God’s only son, the only person to ever live a sinless life, and Savior of the world. That’s most-likely no news to you.
But I want to encourage you (& myself) to take a moment today to reflect on His birth and life. He was full of grace and truth – two things that sometimes seem contradictory in our world today. It is my prayer that we are full of both. We know and speak truth; the truth of His magnificence, power, and love. We are and show grace; the grace that we don’t deserve but He gave anyway.
