“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Peter wrote these words to the Church when they were facing all types of persecution. They were expecting Jesus to return soon… and this was 30ish years after The Cross. Much to their dismay, He didn’t return during their lifetime, and He might not in ours (but he could)! We have to live our lives anticipating His return while living out His call on our lives. His timing is perfect even when it doesn’t line up with ours.
