A Living Sacrifice 11.3.17
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God- this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2
Last night was a worship night at our church, a night fully devoted to singing and worshiping God. I often have that picture of worship – singing, hands raised, heart abandoned and in awe of the Lord. And that is worship, but not the only form. This verse reminds us that our bodies, thoughts, and lives are all a form of worship. Every part of our lives should reflect Him. That is a lot of pressure, but I think as we spend time with Him daily, we’ll become more life him. And when we become more like Him, reflecting who He is will be who we are.
