Today is the Day 11.25.16

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:33-34

The enemy seriously doesn’t take a day off. He’s out to steal, kill and destroy and worrying is one of his greatest tools. Being anxious about things that we can’t control just steals our joy. Instead of focusing on those worries, what if we aligned our thoughts with the kingdom? What would our day be like if we started it off with prayer and scripture? Take those worry thoughts captive and refocus them. Ask yourself, “Are these thoughts from Jesus or from the enemy?” If they cause you stress, worry, guilt, anxiety — they are not from above!

Each day is full of blessings and battles. If we are worrying about tomorrow’s battle, how are we going to fight off today’s? When we fix our thoughts on the kingdom, God helps us focus on today while preparing us for tomorrow.

Today I pray you give those anxious thoughts to your Heavenly Father who loves and adores you. Trust Him with today. After all, He did create the universe. I’m pretty sure He’s got your day figured out!
