Keep Fighting 11.10.16

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.

Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.

But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.”  Proverbs 3:5-12 (MSG)

Throughout life, my parents have always loved and cared for me in every way. I can’t think of a time when I thought they were intentionally trying to hurt me. As an adult, I look to them for wisdom and advice because I know they have more life experiences than I do.

It hit me the other day; why don’t I trust my Heavenly Father as much or even more than I trust my earthly father? My earthly father is  pretty amazing … but he’s human. He has his days. My Heavenly Father, however, created this universe; He holds the world in His hands. But for some reason, I question him.

Have you ever been stuck in a season of your life where it’s just rough? Like straight up, can’t sugar coat it … life is hard. When bad news after bad news hits, you start asking God, “why?” I’m right there with ya. But reread this verse, girlfriend. God loves you, He is leading you. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. I have to remind myself that if my earthly father would never do anything to hurt me, don’t you think our wise, all-knowing  Heavenly Father is working everything together for our good? Yes, I know He is.

Jesus never said life was going to be easy but rather to expect trials. Then He offers this assurance:

“I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” John 13:32-33 (MSG)

Trust your Heavenly Father who loves you more than you will ever comprehend. He is working out the messiest, most complicated situation for your good. Just wait; your deliverance is coming. All we have to do is stay focused and keep fighting.

This is absolutely wonderful and so inspiring. Keeping your sweet family in my prayers! Keep up your positive attitude! You are God’s girl and do not ever forget that He is in control and knows everything about you. He collects your tears in a bottle and knows the number of hairs on your head..do not fear. Isaiah 26;3 says He will give you perfect peace if your mind is set on Him! Keep your chin up and focus on your blessings. This too shall pass….love you! Kim Spencer
